Bulgarian People's Army 1970s Olive Green Cossack Shirt
BUPA1970OGCS
The Bulgarian People's Army cossack shirt is a 1970s pattern, this example dated 1979 and Cold War issue.
It features a quarter length three button front with a hook and eye at the collar, two chest button pockets, shoulder epaulettes, engraved belt hooks and buttons and an internal drawstring waist, cut in 100% heavy cotton in solid olive green. Warsaw Pact kit in the cossack style, and this one belonged to a "Mladshi leĭtenant" — a junior lieutenant, whose rank epaulettes are still on the shoulders.
Measured flat, it runs 21" pit to pit and fits a slim medium figure with sleeve lengths of 22.5" and a collar to hem of 25 inches.
