Danish Civil Defence 1970s M71 Parka

The Danish Civil Defence M71 parka was issued during the 1970s.
It features a zipper closure, numerous pockets, shoulder epaulettes and drawstring hem and waistband, cut in a durable cotton in grey — not a soldier's parka but a civil defence one, and the Civil Defence patch is still on it. Denmark kept a standing civilian organisation for exactly the kind of decade this was made in.
Measured flat, it runs 44" along the chest and fits a regular medium figure — the label suggests 89 to 97cm and a height of 169 to 178cm — with sleeve lengths of 23" and a collar to hem of 30 inches.
