Finnish Army 1970s Brotbeutel Bread Bag

A bread bag — Brotbeutel, the German name the pattern kept — in heavy canvas, issued through the Cold War and barely changed from the wartime model it copies. It is the simplest thing an army issues: a bag for the food you carry, closed with metal buttons and slung on an adjustable strap.
Finland held onto the shape long after most armies had moved to nylon, which is why a 1970s issue still looks like a 1940s one.
