Irish Army 1980s Green Dress Jacket
IRA1980GDJ
The Irish Army dress jacket was manufactured during the 1980s by McG. Bros, this example dated 1980.
It features two flap pockets, red shoulder epaulettes and engraved harp staybrite buttons that are the best thing on it, cut in 100% wool in moss green. Irish surplus is scarce — the Defence Forces are small and very little of it ever leaves the country.
Measured flat, it runs 19.5" pit to pit and fits a slim medium figure — the label states "SIZE 7" — with sleeve lengths of 24" and a collar to hem of 29 inches.
