The Yugoslav Army M77 parka was issued from the late 1970s, this one dated 1978, in a wind resistant waxed cotton.

It features two waist pockets, an interior pocket and two rear zipped poacher’s pockets, a hidden button closure, a drawstring waist, shoulder epaulettes and a fishtail that buttons up out of the way when it is not wanted. It takes a thermal liner, which is how it was worn as winter combat dress. Solid olive green throughout, and the rear pockets are the detail that gives it away as JNA rather than anybody else’s parka.

Measured flat, it runs 50" along the chest and fits a regular extra large figure — the label suggests a chest around 120cm and a waist of 112cm — with a sleeve length of 27" and a collar to hem of 44 inches.
