The Soviet Red Army greatcoat is a 1970s pattern, this example dated 1981.

It features a hook and eye closure, two flap pockets and an internal pocket, a turnover storm collar, a belted rear with engraved back buttons and a single rear vent, cut windproof in 100% wool. Brown with green collar tabs and shoulder patches — the coat that stood in every parade photograph of the period.

Measured flat, it runs 20.5" pit to pit and fits a slim medium figure with sleeve lengths of 24" and a collar to hem of 48 inches.
