Swedish Army 1940s M39 Wool Jacket

The Swedish Army M39 was manufactured during the war years, this example dated 1940.
It features nine pockets in all — two button chest, two flap waist, two button rear and three internal — a button closure with engraved three crown buttons, a turnover storm collar and a partial lining, cut in a quality 100% wool in field grey brown. Sweden sat the war out and dressed for it anyway, and the tailoring shows.
Measured flat, it runs 40" along the chest and fits a slim medium figure — the size stamp states 96cm — with sleeve lengths of 23.5" and a collar to hem of 31.5 inches.
