German Army 1970s Cold War Parka Liner
GA1970CWPL
The liner from a Bundeswehr cold weather parka, cut parka length in an olive shell and lined throughout in deep brown pile. It buttons inside the shell it belongs to, and is worn on its own as often as not.
Button-through front behind a bound placket, a hood that buttons at the crown and carries the same pile inside it, and a bound tab buttoning at each cuff. A welt at the right chest covers a zipped pocket — the one pocket on the garment, which is what tells you it was never meant to be the outer layer. Tabs at the shoulders and at both corners of the hem are where it fastens into the parka. The maker's label is still at the collar.
Measurements, label and date to be taken from the garment in hand.
