West German Army 1970s Field Grey Long Sleeve Field Shirt
WGA1970FGLSFS
The West German Army field shirt was issued through the Cold War, most of them dated in the 1970s, in a durable wool and cotton blend.
It features two button chest pockets and an internal one, adjustable sleeve cuffs, shoulder epaulettes and vents under the arms, cut in the solid field grey the Bundeswehr kept from the army before it. The wool in the blend is what makes it: it is a shirt with the weight of a light jacket, which is how it was worn. Becoming scarce.
Measured flat, it runs 38" along the chest and fits a slim medium figure — the label states 90cm — with a sleeve length of 24.5" and a collar to hem of 31.5 inches.
