Circular Exit Strategy

A Franco-British partnership in which BMU preserves the remaining stock of France’s longest-standing military surplus recycler, archiving each garment’s intelligence (material + pattern) and deploying a research and development arm of forward-deployed designers focused on fibre-to-fibre recycling and garment-to-garment remanufacturing, utilising MarshalOS, which will house the metadata of all garments collected alongside the software’s irregular lay-planning design tool. Our philosophy and approach sit behind our term Proof of Design (POD), derived from Dwork and Naor’s Proof of Work, in which designers compete to solve for a garment’s waste before it is reprocessed.
