United States Army 1990s M81 Woodland Camouflage Shorts
USA1990M81WCS
BDU trousers cut down to shorts, dated 1995, in M81 woodland — the pattern the US Army wore for twenty years and the one most people picture when they picture camouflage at all.
The BDU cut survives the shortening: two slit pockets at the waist, two at the hip, two buttoned at the back, a button fly, inch-wide belt loops and side adjusters at the waist. Fifty-fifty cotton and nylon, which is the blend that made BDUs last.
Measured flat, the waistband runs 16" and the total length 23 inches — a small, short.
