The British Royal Air Force GP thermal liner is an 1980s pattern issued into the early 2000s, and it is really a bomber jacket wearing another name.

It features a zipper closure, two waist pockets, elasticated cuffs and waistband, a turnover storm collar and shoulder epaulettes, cut in a wool and polyester blend with a detachable thermal liner. This one still carries its senior aircraftsman's rank slides. Classic Air Force blue, and meant to be worn inside something else, which is why so few of them survive on their own.

Measured flat, it runs 22" pit to pit and fits a slim medium figure — the label reads 96M for a 96cm chest — with sleeve lengths of 24.5" and a collar to hem of 24.5 inches.
